Spicy Italian sausage and sweet fennel are smothered in a delicious crushed tomato-basil sauce. Top the fettuccine, and bring on the Parmesan!

This is a wonderful delightful recipe. My husband who loves Italian sausage wanted to double the meat. We added a pinch of red pepper (we like spicy). We kept all the rest of the ingredients the same. We also sauted some sweet Italian links to go with this. We really liked it. It was refreshingly different. All the flavors meld together nicely. The crunch from the crisp tender vegetables is a nice touch. I love fennel so this recipe caught my eye and I'm glad it did. Hats off to whomever came up with this one. It will definitely go into my printed collection of favorite recipes. YUM!

This was very tasty! I did change a few things to the recipe, but it turned out fantastic! Bought spicy sausages, but removed the outer skin and rolled the meat into miature balls, then added more peppers. I also had to substitute the fennel bulb with about a tablespoon of Anise seed because my grocery store didn't have it, but the whole family still loved it! served with ceasar salad and breadsticks.

I used Kroger bulk italian sausage-hot. My husband thought the meal was too spicy hot. By the time I had bought all the ingredients the cost was well over $12: a little expensive for a simple dish.

I also opt to use red and green peppers. Added pepper flakes about 1/2 t for a kick. Easy to make, looks and taste good too. Finish up with grated parmesan cheese and fresh chopped parleys and basil.

This was a huge admit with my family and dinner guests. I used mild Italian Sausage. I served with a garden salad and it was a wonderful mix.

This dish was very fast and easy to make. It calls for hot itallian sausage, I was disappointed in the level of heat from the spicy sausage, I would compair it to a mild salsa. It is a beautiful dish, and presentation is easily done with some fresh grated parmesan and a hand full of fresh leaf parsley chopped up. We opted to use half a red and half a yellow pepper which gave it added color and a red onion instead of a sweet onion. The colors jump out at you. I would highly recommend this for a week night meal.

Wow! This recipe was outstanding! the only thig is that i did not have the fennel and peppers. I would like to make a suggestant try make it spicier like adding some red chili peppers crushed or adding a 2-3 tsp. of cayenne pepper powder. This would give this recipe that extra kick! %0d%0a%0d%0a Thanks %0d%0a Willie
