Fajita-style chicken pot pie is anything but scary when you're armed with a box of Bisquick® mix. A cheesy biscuit topping makes pot pie delicious, and squeezable ketchup makes it fun.

Perhaps the original recipe was developed for children with preferences for lightly seasoned foods. As an adult passionate about Mexican food, I could tell that the seasoning needed to be punched up. I used char-grilled boneless chicken, fajita peppers and onions (frozen from Trader Joes) and added 2 tsp chili powder and 1 tsp. cumin. If you like spicier food, I recommend a hotter salsa. My husband seasoned his cooked portion with pickled jalapenos and Chilula hot sauce. We both enjoyed the meal.

This dish is disgusting. It did not have a good flavor & it tasted horrible. I even added my own stuff to give it a little better taste & it didn't help. I would not suggest this dish nor will I ever make it again.

This was great! But I totally modified it to my own needs. First I cooked it in a cast iron dutch oven. I didn't have bell peppers so I used fresh onion, celery & carrots. Then I added left over pulled pork and roasted veggies. I also omitted the water and added some left over BBQ sauce. Because the dutch oven is wider, I doubled the dough portion of the recipe. I still baked it at 400 for 30 minutes.

My husband loves mexican food, I made it for his birthday dinner. He has requested that keep making it for him. It was a easy, very tasty one dish meal.
