very nice cookie. great taste. Like kansas mom made only 4 dozen and had filling left over. I refrigerated the filling. Will make another batch and use the remainder of the filling. Freeze well.

Idk what I did wrong, but these just fall apart. It was like they were made of sand! Gave it 2 stars only because of the filling(omg soo good!!).

These have been a traditional Christmas cookie in our home for the past 3 years! They are fabulous! Thought the crushed candy cane topping is pretty, we prefer them without. We sometimes use colorful sprinkles in their place. The filling does make more than you'll need, so add a little to your fudge recipie or sandwich between cookies!

Yummy cookie that looks fancy for the holidays. I used a melon baller to indent the center of the cookie instead of my thumb. It made a nice, consistent size center on the cookies. Also, I did not yield 6 dozen from this recipe, more like 4 dozen. The frosting recipe makes a ton - I ended up only needing about half.
