cup red chili powder, mild

cup beef broth

cup tomato sauce

teaspoon oregano (preferably mexican)

teaspoon cumin

teaspoon garlic (granulated)

teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  1. Heat oil in large saucepan. Add the flour and blend with whisk. Cook, while mixing over medium heat for 2 minutes until golden brown in color. This creates the roux.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients. Simmer on low for 15 minutes.
