Ingredients

  • 4 large square fabric napkins, ironed
  • 4 flat ornaments, up to 4 to 5 inches in diameter

Steps

  • 1

  • 2
Fold napkin in half diagonally into a triangle.
  • 3
Fold long folded side (bottom of triangle) halfway to point of triangle.

Turn napkin overso the widest side is on top.
  • 5

Learning the knack of napkin art is fun and can dress up a dining table without a big time commitment or cost! It’s as easy as a flip of the wrist. Try one of these embellishments instead of the snowflake. •Snowman or Santa magnet •Miniature grapevine wreath, up to 4 inches in diameter •Miniature pine wreath, up to 4 inches in diameter •Individual wooden or magnetic letters •Fresh or artificial flowers •Fresh herbs Good-quality, heavy paper napkins can be used instead of fabric napkins for casual occasions or for a kids’ table. Your napkins don’t need to match. It can be even more fun to use a couple of coordinating colors or patterns and alternate them on the table.
