1/2: box chocolate fudge cake mix

1/2: can condensed milk

6: oz chopped dates

1/2: cup chopped nuts(optional)

1/2: can pepsi or coke

Directions

1 preheat oven to 375 degrees. combine all the ingredients in a bowl.prepare a baking dish by spraying with non stick spray or butter and flour
2 pour the batter into the baking dish and bake for 40 to 45 min.check by inserting knife before taking it out.

Hello, won't this combination make the cake way too sweet? The box mix already has enough sugar. You are adding condensed milk and soda on top of it that are again very sweet... For the folks that tried this recipe, was it too sweet?
