EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Edamame is another name for green soybeans. The pod of these beans is not edible, so buying shelled frozen beans makes them easy to use.

Serve this rich chowder with simple buttermilk biscuits.

OMG I have never tasted anything this fabulous in my entire life! This chowder had so much flavor and texture and was even better the next day as the flavors blended overnight. The edamame was perfect in it as I have been trying more recipes with edamame since it is such a healthy ingredient. I will make this over and over again. I can hardly wait for the next family gathering, because this will be on my list to make.

I liked this a lot, made it for lunch one day. If I make it again I think I might add a pinch of red pepper flakes. My husband didn't care for it, but he isn't a chowder guy.
