nice idea and all i will say, however, the cookies i baked with gel came out terrible and the ones with no gel were normal. next time i see a cute idea, im leaving it on paper. not worth it

I used my family sugar cookie recipe but what drew me to this was the decoration idea - so easy and fun and less mess! I ran out of gel dwriting icing and the store only had the opaque kind left so I gave it a shot. Not bad but the gel was the winner for me - more of a cool retro Christmas cookie feel.

I made these last year and they were easy and alot of fun. I used my own cookie dough that I made from scratch but I may try ready made dough this year. A good, easy cookie to make with the kids!
