Easy Sour Cream Biscuits by Bob

This delicious easy to make recipe is a great alternative to buttermilk biscuits! It's a family recipe create by my husband Bob.

cups self rising flour
tablespoons sugar
ounces sour cream
tablespoons sweet cream butter
  1. Preheat oven to 370 degrees.
  2. Melt butter for 30 seconds on high in microwave.
  3. In a medium size mixing bowl, blend 2 of the cups flour, sugar and butter together. Mix well.
  4. On a flat surface, sprinkle 1/4 cup of flour.
  5. Sprinkle flour on a rolling pin, roll out dough. Add flour to rolling pin as needed to prevent dough from sticking.
  6. Dip cookie cutter or glass in leftover flour, cut out 12 biscuits. Each time that you cut out a biscuit, dip your cutter again in the flour to prevent dough from sticking to the cutter.
  7. Place biscuits on an oiled or greased cookie sheet.
  8. Cook for 18 minutes or until biscuits are a golden brown.
