This isn't my recipe at all, but an old recipe that I took off a Bisquick box many years ago (late 70's). I used this quite a bit since I was a young bride at the time. We all loved this recipe.

cup Bisquick

cup water

pound lean ground beef

cup chopped onion

cubes beef bouillon
1/4
teaspoon garlic powder

can (15 oz.) tomato sauce

teaspoon oregano

can (small) sliced mushrooms
1/2
cup chopped bell pepper
1/2
pound shredded cheese
  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Lightly grease jelly roll or 2 9" cake pans.
  3. Mix baking mix and water until soft dough forms
  4. Pat dough in bottom and up the sides of pan with well floured hands.
  5. Cook and stir ground beef, onion, bouillon, and garlic powder until beef is brown and bouillon is dissolved.
  6. Mix tomato sauce and oregano. Spread evenly over dough.
  7. Sppon beef mixture evenly over sauce.
  8. Top with mushrooms, bell pepper, and cheese.
  9. Bake until crust is golden brown -- about 20-25 minutes.
