EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Serve this hearty pie with purchased Caesar salad. For a quick dessert, drizzle caramel topping over apple slices.

If you have leftover cooked vegetables, use them instead of the frozen vegetables.

Try a variety of mixed vegetables and condensed cream soups, depending on your taste and what’s available in your pantry.

Not only was it easy...I made it the lazy way with a can of chicken breast, a can of carrots and a can of sweet peas. I sprinkled some thyme in with the mixture and Voila! A little salt and pepper on the table so everyone could season it, as they liked, and it was a winner.

My kids love this dish. Although I have adjusted the recipe a bit. I don't use frozen veggies. I use two 29 oz cans of VegAll instead of the frozen veggies and I cook it in a 9x13 pan and for the crust its 4x the recipe cause we like a thicker crust. I also use cream of mushroom instead of cream of chicken.

This was delicious, and easy to prepare. Next time I'll grease the sides of the pie dish so the Bisquick doesn't stick.
