what is the texture of the bisquick mix suppose to be like? Cooking it now, and it was thick like pudding.

Not bad - a little bland. I also had a hard time spreading the bisquick mix on top - it was all goopy and sticky. Will definitely try again though.

My Fiance and I just moved into our first home. I needed help cooking for 2, because left overs just go to waste most of the time. This recipe was quick, easy and delicious. It turned out just like the picture, too! You could easily switch to turkey instead of chicken and use any type of mixed veggies. Maybe next time i'll use the frozen broccoli and cheese and use a cheese soup base instead! =P

Very tasty a great comfort food! I doubled the recipe. After reading other reviews I decided to add some dry chicken soup base to the chicken mixture and garlic bread topping to the buisquick mixture and also sprinkled some on top. I'm glad I did. I did think that there was a little too much bisquick. Next time I think I will just use half of the amount. If you double the recipe you will need to bake it about 10 minutes longer. Will make it again!

I loved this dish! I modified the original recipe with some advice from other reviewers. Some had problems with the crust being too thick and not cooking all the way through. To fix that I used a 2 qt cake pan and it worked great. I doubled the amounts of all the ingredients to ensure we would have enough. When cooking the chicken I seasoned them with salt, pepper and italian seasoning. I also added garlic and 1/2 cup of cheese to the chicken mixture. I added italian seasoning and garlic to the crust mixture as well. A few minutes before it was done I basted the crust with a mixture of melted butter and garlic powder. It turned out great and the leftovers reheated very well! I will be making this a lot!!
