1
3-4 lb Beef Brisket
2
cans cranberry jelly sauce
2
packages lipton onion soup mix or beefy soup mix
3
large potatoes
3
large carrots
3
large onions
1
large turnip
  1. Place brisket in large roasting pan. Put the cranberry sauce all over the top of the brisket, "mushing" it right on top of the meat. You can use two cans of sauce if it is a bigger piece of meat, or you want to create more sauce. Then add a package of onion soup mix or "beefy" soup mix also on top of the brisket. If you are using two cans of cranberry sauce, also use two cans of onion soup mix. Cut up potatoes, carrots, onions and turnip in large pieces (so they don't get mushy during cooking). You can use whatever vegetables you like, even mushrooms.
  2. Cover the brisket tight with aluminum foil and bake at 350 degrees for about 3 and 1/2 hours.
  3. Let rest for about 15 minutes before slicing.

Cut up vegetables first so they are ready to be tossed in with the brisket. Just place them all around the side of the roasting pan. Use a disposable pan for easy clean up!
