These Easter 'basket' cookies were delicious! They took awhile to assemble & decorate with the frosting, M&M eggs & I used chocolate licorice for handles but they were worth the time. My granddaughters loved them! I will definitely make them again.

I didn't have a mini cupcake pan so I made them a little bigger and the shape wasn't quite as "basket like" but they did turn out super cute once decorated and the kids loved them. Tasty too, I wish I'd have read the suggestion about green sprinkles on some for non-coconut lovers, but maybe next time.

I seperated a licorice whip string tied it in a bow and pressed it into the warm cookie and added green sprinkles in half and candy robin eggs in half m&m's in the other half, and it does look like a nest. You can't eat the pipe cleaner.

Super easy to make! Great tasting. Absoluetely adorable when they are made, mine turned out looking just like the picture. I also used green sprinkles instead of coconut on half the baskets for people that don't like coconut.

I spent a lot of time buying and gathering supplies & these came out as "muffins" as the other lady wrote! I pushed holes in them when right out of the oven so I could still put frosting, coconut & jelly beans in them. Now they look like robins' nest & eggs-not bad!

Ok! These are intentionally suppose to be muffin shapped then add the frosting, coconut and "eggs". I wanted to add that when I baked them at 12 minutes @ 375, they came out "crunchier" than I wanted, so I turned down to 350 and almost 11 minutes, then they came out better! Also I used chopsticks to make holes for the "pipe cleaners" to easily stick and stay in place. They were great with M&M's!

I don't understand how to get them to look like baskets. If you put the balls in the pan to bake, they turn into muffins.. ?? I"m going to use M&M's instead of Jelly Beans

Can I double the size of the balls and bake them in regular muffin trays?

The pictures are adorable and the directions seem easy but it would be helpful to include instructions for assembling the baskets.
