EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Look for cans of dulce de leche next to sweetened condensed milk in your grocery store. Dulce de leche is similar to sweetened condensed milk, but it has been caramelized and is much thicker.

Dulce [DOOL-say] is Spanish for and generally refers to an intensely sweet confection made with sugar and cream. Leche [LAY-chay] is the Spanish word for “milk.”

Oh my gosh, these were so good!!! The cinnamon hits you first and then all of a sudden the chipotle spice hits you. It's the perfect balance of sweet and spicy.

These were unbelievably good! Will definitely make these again! Probably wouldn't recommend them for young children because of the chipotle, but a great dessert anyway.

I took these to a work party and the flavor was excellent! I didn't use all of the frosting as it seemed like too much. I also used cayenne pepper instead of chipotle. I could have eaten the whole pan myself they were so good!
