I have this cake in the oven, third time making it. It is a favorite among my family and my husband's office. Doesn't taste like 'box' mix. I substitute caramel extract instead of the vanilla and make my own caramel frosting. My mouth is watering just thinking about how good this cake is. This recipe will be a family favorite for many years.

This is by far my absolute favorite cake mix cake recipe, and I've tried a lot. Whenever I make this cake it get's rave reviews. The last birthday I made it for, adults were eating leftover cake from the kids' plates before we put them in the garbage, because as one person put it, "I'm not too proud." I rarely make any other yellow cake recipe, I just can't say enough about it, it is SOOO good!!
