Looking for a delicious fruit dessert that’s ready in 15 minutes? Enjoy this banana dulce de leche with ice cream, peanuts and cherries.
can (13.4 oz) dulce de leche (caramelized sweetened condensed milk)
to 4 tablespoons milk
small scoops (1/4 cup each) vanilla ice cream
small scoops (1/4 cup each) chocolate ice cream
cup whipped cream topping (from aerosol can)
cup chopped salted dry-roasted peanuts
maraschino cherries with stems
In small bowl, stir dulce de leche and enough milk with wire whisk to make a smooth, pourable sauce.
Cut each banana in half lengthwise and then crosswise. In each of 4 stemmed dessert glasses or bowls, place 2 banana quarters along outer edges. Top each with 1 scoop vanilla ice cream and 1 scoop chocolate ice cream. Spoon dulce de leche mixture evenly over ice cream. Top with whipped cream, peanuts and cherries. Serve immediately.
To assemble these banana splits even faster, scoop the ice cream onto a tray ahead of time; cover and store in the freezer until ready to serve.
