Double-Chocolate Lava Cake (White Whole Wheat Flour)

Double-Chocolate Lava Cake (White Whole Wheat Flour)

This awesome chocolate dessert separates into two layers as it bakes; one turns into a yummy fudge sauce and the other a moist cake. Serve it warm topped with vanilla, coffee or dulce de leche cream.

This is a dessert that I have made for years. I usually double the recipe and bake in a 9"X13" pan. The recipe I use calls for chopped walnuts in the batter and I think that adds a lot. It is definitely a fabulous dessert. Incidentally I often serve it without whipped cream or ice cream and it's still incredible.

Overall, the dessert was very yummy. Even though I followed the directions exactly (measurements and all) the bottem was cakelike and the top was the runny part. Not sure why this happened, even double checked the directions. Will make again due to the deliciousness!!!

This turned out like it was supposed to, cake like on top and warm, runny fudgey chocolate under it. Went well with ice cream, will be making again! :)
