cup garlic-and-herb spreadable cheese (from 6.5-ounce container)

slices pumpernickel cocktail bread

pound shaved or very thinly sliced deli baked ham

seedless cucumber, thinly sliced
Fresh dill weed, if desired

  • 1 Spread about 1 1/2 teaspoons cheese on each bread slice. Top with ham, folded to fit, and 2 cucumber slices.
  • 2 Garnish with tiny sprigs of dill weed.

Expert Tips

Garlic-and-herb spreadable cheese adds fantastic flavor to these bite-size sandwiches, but regular cream cheese spread will also work just fine.

You can make these sandwiches a day ahead, then place them in a single layer in a totable container. Keep them in your fridge until you're ready to go.

The appeal of seedless cucumbers is they don't need any peeling. Plus, the green skin adds a nice dash of color.
