I made this for my sisters birthday and everyone loved it. It is very rich so keep the pieces small and savor each bite. This was my first torte and it came out much better than I had thought. Be sure to let the cakes cool for at least an hour before cutting in half. I cut mine too soon and almost ended up throwing the pans out the window because they started breaking apart. Also, cut off the crowns of each cake so there is no dome and the layers are flat. Good luck. If you mess up, the ganache will cover up most mistakes.
