This is the first pecan pie recipe that I ever tried and I won't switch to another. My husband LOVES this pie (claims it is better than his grandmother's, which says a lot). I do make one substitution: A graham cracker crust. The man likes it better than a regular pie crust. This saves time as well so give it a try. Awesome recipe!

This is THE BEST pecan pie recipe! I've been making it for years. I made it again yesterday and my hubby's family just raved about it! I like to substitute the corn syrup for maple syrup, and it's just as good. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing. My sister-in-law substitutes the corn syrup for sweetened condensed milk, but it just isn't the same. Thank you Betty for teaching me to cook!!!!

I made this for my dad on Father''s Dad. Watching all that corn syrup and sugar go in, we knew that no matter what this recipe would taste great. The crust was perfect and the very first homemade crust any of my family members had ever made. I topped it with whipped cream and drank it with a glass of milk, and it was great!

I always use dark corn syrup for this recipe. the recipe calls for 1 C corn syrup; I use 3/4 C dark corn syrup and 1/4 C molasses. I also increase pecans...YUM!

This was so eazy to make and oh so good. I did make the home-made pie pastry the first time I made this and it turned out good too. With that said tho I now use pre-made pie shell for time saver reasons. If you do use a store shell do not use deep dish unless you up-scale the receipe a tad.I first made this several years ago and am just reviewing it, so for that I''m sorry :0(
