box devils food cake mix

ounces cherry pie filling

teaspoon vanilla extract

tub chocolate frosting
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Spray 2 9x9" or 8x8" in pans with nonstick baking spray.
  3. In a large bowl combine devils food cake mix, cherry pie filling, eggs and vanilla extract. Beat until well mixed at low speed, then beat 1 minute at medium speed.
  4. Pour batter until the prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cake is set.
  6. Remove cake from oven. Wait ten mintues to remove cakes from pans onto cooling racks.
  7. Wait 1 hour for cakes to fully cool.
  8. Spread frosting inbetween the two layers of cake and frost the outsides and top.
