This is a wonderful casserole. I have made it at least six times. I love it. It is healthy, easy and inexpensive. However, I always have to add at least twice as much water as the recipe calls for and bake it for a longer baking time. This may be due to the high altitude I live at.

Just enjoyed an incredible Indian dinner - this curry lentil and rice casserole along with Indian-spiced chicken. The casserole came out perfect. I used golden raisins instead of regular ones (my mom insisted), and it was delicious. I left it in the oven for about 1 hour and 15 min. and the rice and lentils were cooked well. If you're new to Indian food, I definitely recommend it!

This was my first curry dish that I ever made myself and it came out fabulous. My husband wasn't fond of the raisins but we were not overwhelmed with a strong curry taste. Overall it was a great indian dish.

I added grilled left-over boneless pork chop, julienned to this and substitued basalmic vinegar for the soy sauce. My family raved about it. Will make again and again.
