French-fried onions add flavorful crunch, and the ranch dressing and sour cream add extra flavor. This will become one of your favorites!

My family really likes this, but I did make some changes in how I cooked it. First I doubled the recipe (except the amount of tuna), then I pre-heated the oven to 350-degrees F, cooked the pasta ONLY on the stovetop for about 7 mins, still had a bite to it, drained pasta. Mixed the liquid ingredients together, mixed in some frozen peas, the tuna and the cooked pasta and put in a 13x9 greased casserole. Baked for 30 mins, then added French Fried onions to top, cooked another 5-10 mins more til crispy and bubbly. Let sit for 10 mins so we could eat it without burning our mouths off. We loved it, everyone had seconds and our guests had no idea it was tuna, they thought they were eating chicken! Will definitely make again.

I love Tuna Helpers anyway. But this was fantastic! Might try just a little (1/4 c.) water so it doesn't dry too much. I made this in a deep cast iron skillet so went directly from stovetop to oven. VERY convenient!

This is really awesome! I do not like Tuna Helper normally, but this sounded really good so I gave it a shot and we all loved it. I will fix it again. I can't wait to try the other Helper variations.

I made this for the family, everyone liked it. I wasn't able to find the creamy parmesan so I substituted another flavor.

After a Catholic childhood of too many icky tuna casseroles on Friday nights, I hadn't eaten a hot tuna dish in years. I made this because I thought my husband would like it and I found I liked it too! Like another reviewer, I couldn't find the parmesan variety of tuna helper, so used the alfredo. It was soupy at first, but came together after about 15 minutes. I added some sauteed chopped celery and mushrooms, I think they were pleasant additions. I'm certainly going to make it again.

I was looking for a quick recipe and I had all of these ingredients on hand. It was very easy to complete, and I made these additions: 2 cups of chopped broccoli and I did as others posted - right after adding the ranch and sour cream, I placed the pasta in an 8" dish and baked it at 350 for about 5 minutes - long enough to crisp the onions and thicken the sauce. Everyone enjoyed the dish, and my picky pasta eater even went back for seconds. My husband said the only thing he would suggest was backing down on the ranch a little - but it could have been the brand I used... I would recommend.

Added a step...After I sprinkle the onions on top I put the dish (uncovered) in oven on 350 for a few minutes. The onions crisp up and the dish dries out a little so its not so saucy. . Kids seem to like it crispier!!!

I have made this recipe many times since I discovered it. One time I was desperate, I found I didn't have the french fried onions like I had thought I did. So what I did was to crush about 1 cup of potato chips and added 1/2 tsp. of thyme to them and after mixing a little I added this to the top of the casserole. Not bad and will probably do that again but really prefer the onion rings! My husband raves about this every time I make it, don't blame him I like it too. Thanks for another keeper to my file.

When I made this, I coundn''t find the Parmesan Tuna Helper so I ended up using the Alfredo kind. I don''t see how the flavor would change the recpie, but it seemed to have a lot of sauce after I added the ranch and sour cream. I had to let it simmer down for nearly 10 more mins. Next time I would try cutting back on the ranch by about half becasue the flavor over-powered all of the other ingredients including the tuna. I also toasted the fried onions in the toaster oven to crisp them up. It was overall still very tasty and my husband took all the leftovers to work the next day.
