Ingredients

1: package (6 ounces) Bugles® original flavor snacks

1: can (12 ounces) mixed nuts or peanuts

2: egg whites

2: tablespoons orange juice or water

1 1/3: cups sugar

2: teaspoons ground cinnamon

1: cup dried cranberries or cherries

Directions

1 Heat oven to 275º. Grease jelly roll pan, 15 1/2x10 1/2x1 inch.
2 Mix snacks and nuts in large bowl. Beat egg whites, orange juice, sugar and cinnamon in small bowl, using wire whisk or hand beater, until foamy. Pour over snack mixture; stir until evenly coated. Spread in pan.
3 Bake uncovered 35 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Stir in cranberries. Bake uncovered 10 to 15 minutes or until light brown and crisp. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.

I prepare this snack mix each year only during the month of November, and it's one of the most flavorful mixes I serve. The Bugles seem to be little cornucopia's, and the dried cranberries also lend a Thanksgiving feel. I enjoy giving the mix as gifts in preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday, that is IF I can keep it hidden from my husband! I am currently living away from my primary residence, and all my recipes I rely on from year to year. I'm so happy to have found this favorite recipe here at Bettycrocker.com!
