I was with you right up to the cheese! I hate cheese! going to try this dish without the cheese because I DO love onions & potatoes!

Tasted delicious, but didn't look as pretty as the picture, I used smaller canned fried onions smothered with extra cheddar cheese in a 9x9 pan. Flavor trumps appearance. I've got pics but can't post them here unfortunately. Very filling, I was hungry when I started baking it, only ate 1/3.

This recipe was very good and can be made with several types of veggies. One issue we ran into is the size of the pan. We didn't have nearly enough potatoes to cover the bottom of the 9x13 pan. We switched to a 7x11 pan, which worked much better. I would definitely make this again.

T%his dish was delicious, although I did use homemade mashed potatoes instead. My husband and my kids said it was the best potatoes they've ever had. They devoured them! Thanks for the great recipe.

for those of you that say they wait for company because it makes to much....you can always cut it in half. my daughter does it all the time since she is just feeding herself and her husband.besides it's delicious leftover too
