EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Keep your salad crunchy by tossing in the noodles just before serving.

Precooked frozen chicken from the meat department is a great thing to have on hand for ready-to-go recipes like this.

For extra flavor and color, stir in an 11-ounce can of mandarin orange slices, drained.

I make a variation of this salad. I use apple cider vinegar instead of white, dry roasted sunflower seeds instead of sesame seeds, 2 pkgs of ramen. No cooking. I mix the vinegar, oil, water and seasoning pkgs together in a jar and shake it up. I sometimes use broccoli slaw mix for the color, pour dressing on mix and break up the noodles into the salad. It's so good, mandarin oranges add a nice flavor as well.
