Made this as a birthday desert and it tasted great BUT was harder then heck to cut through the crust. and I wasn't happy with the way the crust tasted. I recommend not baking the crust at all and making it as thin as you can but still sturdy, cause its going to get hard from freezing it. I missed the part for baking the remaining crumbles and just put it in the pie that way but it tasted SO much better as they are hard from the freezer but as you eat them they soften up and taste so good. I also didn't use the amounts called for for the ice cream/sherbert, I just did 3 even-ish layers so it didn't overflow. Definitely grease the pan a bit before hand.

I gave this recipe 5 stars because of the taste. If I rated the preparation, I would give it a 0 if I could. This pie was an absolute nightmare! I like most other people who rated this, couldn't get it out of the pan! I recommend greasing the pie plate! Otherwise, the flavor is extraordinary!

Good idea but the crust was way too hard and would not come off the dish - we ended up scooping the ice cream/sherbert out of the crust.

Help...what did I do wrong!? The amount of sherbet and ice cream overflowed my pie plate. It was messy, but the pie that resulted after the cleanup ordeal was very good. I need to try it again after decreasing both of the ingredients by at least one cup. I did use the pie plate size that the recipe suggested.

This pie was delicious!! I must admit, I''m lazy, so I tweaked it a bit. I used a pre-made graham cracker crust and whacked up some cookies in a ziploc bag for the crumbles. It was still an amazing pie, tasted just like an orange dreamsicle.

What a waste of time and money! I tried this on 2 different occasions and neither one of them turned out. I could not get my crust to even look close to the picture!

I didn''t like this at all! The cookie crust was too sweet and stuck to the pan. I think a graham cracker crust would have been nicer.

My family was having a reunion and I wanted to bring a new dessert that I''d never tried, a recipe that was simple enough for my daughter to help. I''d never made an ice cream pie before. My daughter and I had fun baking and making this creation together. I made one pie according to the recipe - with orange sherbert. And, I made another pie with mango sorbet (Haagen Dazs) instead of the orange sherbert. Both were really tasty!!! But, the mango sorbet WAS EXQUISITELY DELICIOUS and a reunion favorite!!!!!!!!
