These are the best for a light dessert after dinner or to serve as appetizers. I get rave reviews everytime I make them and confessions from guest that ate 3 or 4. I dont have tart pans so I use a muffin pan. I divide the dough into 12 balls, then smash each on the underside of the pan-A trick I learned from Paula Deen. This creates more of a bowl so I use a little more cream cheese and sour cream for the filling. I also do not use the preserves, I use strawberry glaze or nothing at all and they are great either way. I also use light s.c and c.c, I will try using splenda as another review mentioned.

I love this recipie! It''s by far my favorite to make. I make it for any party and it''s always a hit. I even cut corners and make it with all lower fat/calorie alternatives (sour cream, cream cheese, splenda, etc.) and no one can tell. I always get asked for the recipie. (Last time I made them I overheard someone ask who the caterer was!) I don''t use the preserve glaze on top, and sometimes the dough needs a little extra liquid (water, milk, sour cream) to it when I use the lower-fat alternatives. And I''ll often use strawberry cream cheese instead of plain for the filling. Yummy!
