Creamy and Crunchy Mango Dessert

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe large mangoes, seed removed, peeled and chopped (about 3 cups)
  • Grated peel of 1 lemon or lime
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup canned sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1 1/2 cups Whole Grain Total® cereal

    In medium bowl, toss mangoes and lemon peel. In small bowl, mix whipping cream and condensed milk with whisk until well blended.

    Add cream mixture to mango mixture; gently stir to coat. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate at least 1 hour or until chilled.

    To serve, spoon mango mixture into parfait glasses or individual dessert bowls and top evenly with cereal; or spoon mixture into large serving bowl and top with cereal.

  • A mango is ripened when it is slightly soft to the touch.
  • You can make the mango-cream mixture up to a day in advance. Only add the cereal when ready to serve.
  • To cut down on calories, substitute Yoplait® Greek plain yogurt for the whipping cream. The texture of the dessert will be different, but it will taste just as good.
