These melt-in-your-mouth delicious cookies have been one of my family's favorites for years! When my daughter was little, she and I used to bake these quite often. she is now almost 30, lives in Hawaii, and has asked me to make these and send them for her birthday. She and a friend were in New Zealand and had some cookies there that reminded her of these. Now her friend wants me to send some to her!! I also make these in heart shapes with pink filling for Valentine's Day, pumpkin shapes for halloween, and just when we want them! Thank you, Betty Crocker, for these heavenly tasting Swedish treats!!!

I have been using this recipe since the eary 1970's. This is my children's all time Christmas favorite. I do half with red filling the other half in green. They just melt in your mouth. The ones that crumble are thrown in the freezer and used as a topping for Ice Cream later. Yummy, Yummy

I've been making these for years for weddings and showers. I always do the center in a flavor and color of the wedding party. They freeze great also. Takes a lot of time but always a great hit.

These cream wafers are favorites of mine and my daughter. I've been making these for years! My mother tried them last year and loved them. They are truly melt-in-your-mouth goodness. I want to thank the Betty Crocker Kitchens for this wonderful Swedish cookie. Everyone raves about them. I am going to try the maple flavoring the next time I bake these delectables! Can't wait!

I actually use the low fat non dairy "whipped cream" with these to lower the fat content...and won first place at the county fair with these cookies. I used a lemon filling and called them "Lemon pastry cremes". These are a favorite of my family, friends, and co-workers. Really not difficult to make. I have also used rum, maple, mint, and almond flavoring for the filling as well. The mint go over really well at christmas time and I add crushed candy canes to the filling.

These cookies are delicious! I've not made them before but they were extremely tasty. I will say that the batch I made did not come out anywhere near 5 dozen - I had 5 dozen individual cookies, but not 5 dozen completed sandwiches, just FYI! :)

This was one of my MIL's speciality cookies, how I looked foward to exchanging cookie trays with her just so I would get some of these as well as other favorutes she made! A TRICK SHE TAUGHT ME ABOUT ANY COOKIE THAT THE DOUGH NEEDS ROLLED OUT IS TO USE POWERED SUGAR INSTEAD OF FLOUR FOR ROLLING, IT MAKES FOR A MUCH TENDER COOKIE, WHERE AS FLOUR TENDS TO MAKE FOR A TOUGHER COOKIE! THE TIP WORKS REALLY WELL WITH THESE AND SUGAR COOKIES TOO!

These were easy and fun to make! They are very tender, but don''t fall apart into crumbs. We are all addicted to the lemon flavored ones.
