Question: does anyone know how to make this into "jelly" form? The recipe looks easy & great, but w/a texture sensitivity I prefer the canned, smooth version. Would love to b able to make it myself & save $$$. I buy the health store version & it's about $2 per can! Thank u :)

This is an excellent recipe. Ignore the nay-sayers - they all modified the recipe then complained that it wasn't good!

Cranberries are relatively low in sugar and carbohydrate—another thing anyone who has tasted them fresh might have guessed. That means that cranberries and cranberry juice can bring the benefits of fruit to those who must limit carbohydrate and sugar. Have you tried dried cranberries? There is a good dried cranberry recipe here, http://blog.buraga.org/2011/11/quick-and-easy-cranberry-sauce-recipes.html

This is a basic recipe for cranberry sauce. To add lots of flavor and a little extra work try this. Make the basic sauce as indicated and try adding a jar of orange marmalade, 1 cup coconut, 1-2 tsp ground cinnamon, nuts of your choice, ( I use walnuts, chopped)and bake in a 350 degress oven for about 45 minutes. Serve warm or cold, its delicious both ways. Enjoy, this is delicious!!

I made this and it was a disaster! I tried to double the recipe and it didn't really thicken well. I used oj and brown sugar but it was just sweet with really no cranberry flavor. Yuck!

I read the reviews and took the advice about orange juice. I used the 4 cups of cranberries as the recipe says (I just got fresh bagged ones so there were no stems). I used 1 cup water and 1 cup orange juice. I cut the sugar back to 1 cup. I also added 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice. I did the rest as the recipe said and it turned out great! I'm not a big fan of cranberries or cranberry sauce but this was actually good, I liked it. My mother actually likes the canned better though and I think she thought this was ok but she favors the canned. Oh well! This is an easy recipe and it turned out better than expected. :)

I had never made or had homemade Cranberry Sauce before. I substituted OJ for half of the water and used cinnamon. It is very sweet and I may do only 1/4 OJ substitution next time but it was a great hit and I will be making it again. This was super easy, I can't believe everyone doesn't just make their own!

I selected this recipe based on reviews as I do not have ANY experience with cranberry recipes. I substitued oj and brown sugar for water and white sugar but it still was a disaster. My first failure with a betty crocker recipe!
