This is an old standard favorite, but Betty has goofed it up a bit. Skip the candies ginger - difficult to find, expensive and just the wrong flavor here. If you want a little spike, use a LITTLE bit if fresh ginger - to taste. Use HALF the sugar, at leastuntil it is finished and tasted. If any thinner is necessary, use frozen OJ concentrate - UNdiluted. Make is several days in adcance and store in the fridge. Stir everyday and taste. If, after two days, you still need more sugar, go for it. A bit on the sour side is intentional for this combination.
