Ingredients

cup coarsely chopped cranberries
3
cups flour
4 1/2
teaspoons baking powder
1
teaspoon salt
3
tablespoons grated orange rind
1
cup milk
3
tablespoons melted butter
1
egg
1/2
cup chopped pecans

  • 1 Mix the cranberries with 1/4 cup of sugar and set it aside.
  • 2 Sift one of sugar with the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • 3 Add the grated orange rind.
  • 4 Blend in the milk, butter, beaten egg, and nuts.
  • 5 Fold in the cranberries and pour into a greased 9 by 5 by 2 3/4 inch loaf pan.
  • 6 Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
  • 7 Take out and cool it on a rack.
