I saw something like this before at a party but the cranberries, nuts, and chocolate were all mixed into the bars, there was not a topping. They were delicious and I have been looking for a recipe for it ever since...could this work if I just baked them in instead of topping???

I used an 11 x 7 pan which was fine but the recipe should have said to press down because the topping fell off. I will try again but not use the cranberries maybe something else. The crust was tasty.

Very good, tasty, and easy to make - perfect for a busy holiday! I made the mistake, though. of pressing the cookie mixture up the sides of the pan a little, forming a crust, like on a pie. This made the sides very hard and difficult to bite into, but the inside pieces were perfect. Also, I may cut into bars before drizzling chocolate on next time, as the chocolate, once on and cooled, was breaking away from the tops when I cut them into bars.

Really great flavor, but one thing I wish the instructions would have included is to tell you that you MUST press down the toppings into the cookie crust. If you just spoon and sprinkle, as the directions state, everything falls off when you try to eat these. So the second time, I pressed down on the toppings and they turned out GREAT!! I also switched up a couple of things... a used pecans instead of macadamias and semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of white chocolate. The family liked this version much better.

Absolutely delicious. Fun to make. This recipe is a keeper. The only thing I might do differently next time would be to add a little more to the cranberry portion. It wasn't really enough to coat the entire pan.

These taste very good. I followed the recipe exactly. However, the white topping became very hard and cracked off the pieces when cut. We'll be eating these at home instead of sharing.
