EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

Prepare and bake the meatballs up to 24 hours before your party. Cover and refrigerate them. Just before serving, prepare the sauce and heat the meatballs in it.

Keep the meatballs warm by serving them in a chafing dish or fondue pot. Provide small forks or cocktail toothpicks for easy eating.

These are excellent meatballs. First let me say, I take a shortcut and buy a bag of quality meatballs from "the club". I made these for a Christmas Eve party appetizer, and they were so great, I can't wait to make them for the next party or potluck. The sauce was so good you just want to slurp it up. I used the ENTIRE can of Jellied Cranberry Sauce. (It was a 14 ounce can). That is how the recipe is written on the cranberry company's website, and it turned out so great, I would never try it any differently. The person who had lumps in their sauce, perhaps did not have the 'jellied' sauce.
