Celebrate the season with cranberry bars! They're super easy to make and can be cut into mini squares, just right for a dessert tray.

I made these for a nature center reception and they were a huge hit. I also used them as one of 15 varieties of confections for my Holiday gift trays and baskets. I was so surprised at how well they stored - at least 2 weeks, chilled. They were everything that the description said they would be. I will add this recipe to my computer recipe files. Wonderful flavor!

these are very good and easy to make. I put all the ingredients for the crumb in the food processor. Pat the crumb crust down with you hands but not until set in place. I cut the cranberries, which were frozen, in half and also added 1 Tbsp. orange zest for a little more orange flavor. Do not cook the filling. They cooked for 50 minutes and tasted wonderful!

I made these for Christmas and they were delicious! I substituted Jules gluten free flour for the flour in the recipe since several people in my family are gluten intolerant. I will definitely make them again soon!

I made these and used the Betty Crocker oatmeal cookie mix. I also substituted chopped pecans rather than slivered almonds, as well as added a touch of ginger to the cranberry mixture and they turned out MMMMMMM GOOOOOD! The only reason I gave it a four rating was that I changed a couple of things for personal perference. This is an easy bake and I will certianly be making them again. BIG hit with me and my family!

I made these today and when I was mixing the filling I didn't like the way it was turning out with using fresh cranberry's, so I doubled the filling batch and added about 1 1/2 cups of water and cooked the fresh cranberry's to almost half way done then I poured the cranberry filling into the pan and then added about 1/2 cup more almond's to the topping, I cooked it to the direction's and they turned out absolutely awesome...

I don't know what I did wrong but they came out hard as a rock. The bottom was burnt and I have a new stove and the very crumb top was okay but the middle was rock hard too. I followed the instructions to the letter and ended up throwing it all away.

These are SO easy and delicious. I love making at least one batch of bar cookies for Christmas (less work than regular cookies!) and these are my new favorite. I love that they are tart and sweet.

No need to cook the filling, as it will cook in the oven. If you make the crust first, then mix the filling as described and spoon over the crust, it will cook in the oven. You can buy fresh cranberries in the veggie section at your supermarket and freeze them right in the bag. No processing needed.
