Would it change the texture of the cookie if I left out the cranberries?

Loved this recipe. Then I tried it by leaving out the almond extract and adding orange zest-even better.! Also I formed the dough into a roll and just sliced and baked, which was much simpler. These cookies were a huge hit with everyone.

So glad I found this recipe. Delicious, and it freezes well. I will make these again, and not just for Christmas.

The best cookie I've made this holiday season! Super simple. I didn't want spend the time rolling them out so instead I scooped them out with a teaspoon and flattened with the bottom of a water glass dipped in sugar before baking; probably didn't turn out as crispy as they should have so next time I won't add the additional flour to the dough. Will be making agin!!

I can't seem to roll out a proper dough, so I formed these into a log, refrigerated overnight and then sliced and bake. EXCELLENT!

This recipe was easy and made for a tasty cookie. I used the 17.5 oz. sugar cookie mix, which made about 2 dz. cookies. I sprinkled confectioners pwd. sugar over cookie instead of granulated. I will make this recipe again
