I used a roasting chicken for this recipe bc I couldnt find the hens. I prepared the recipe the same way besides using one whole roasting chicken. With the roasting chicken came a seasoning pack. I used it which gave it great flavor along with the extra ingredients this reicpe calls for. I was weary of putting the rice in the chicken but once it was cooked, I am glad I did. It turned out great.. very delicious.

RE amandadalton: I'm sorry you were disappointed in this recipe. I would try adding salt and pepper to boast the flavor.

I should have read through this recipe first... this dish is BLAND. The overall flavor was passable, but mostly it was disappointing. All the recipe calls for to flavor the hens is a few teaspoons of orange juice. Also the rice stuffing has barely any more flavor than the chicken. I tried to spice it up a little by using fresh ginger, which did help, but overall I will NOT be making this again...
