Oreo™ Cookies and Creme Fudge Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • 2/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped Oreo chocolate creme sandwich cookies (about 7 cookies)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 to 4 teaspoons milk

    Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. In large bowl, stir brownie mix, oil, water and eggs until well blended. Spread in pan. Sprinkle cookies over batter.

    Bake 24 to 26 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour 30 minutes.

    In small bowl, stir together powdered sugar and milk until smooth and thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle over brownies. For brownies, cut into 5 rows by 4 rows. Store covered at room temperature.

  • With the variety of cookies available, you can easily substitute mint-flavored chocolate sandwich cookies, peanut butter chocolate sandwich cookies or double-chocolate cookies to suit your taste.
  • If you'd like to make Cookies 'n Creme Brownie Sundaes, omit the glaze and top warm brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream (or your personal favorite), then drizzle with chocolate sauce or warm hot fudge sauce.
  • If you wish to add more Oreo™ cookies to the brownies you can do so by pressing whole cookies into the batter then baking for a fun cookie surprise inside.
  • Adding a sweet cheesecake layer or swirl made with cream cheese, sugar and vanilla is an easy way to add even more “crème” to these brownies.
