EXPERT TIPS

Expert Tips

To toast pecans, preheat oven to 350° F. Spread pecans in a single layer in a baking pan. Bake about 5 to 7 minutes or until golden and toasted.

No buttermilk on hand? Combine 1 1/2 teaspoons vinegar with enough milk to equal 1/2 cup. Stir and let stand 5 minutes.

Will definetly make these again. My kids love these the best. Especially my daughter she can pick off the nuts from the top and she loves the added icing on the top. I only iced half of the brownies because I have to watch sugar intake so unfortunately frosting is always the first to get taken away on deserts for me. But I did taste it and it was really good I also used cherry flavored cola and added cherry extract to the frosting. Thumbs up all around my house.

These are by far the best brownies. They are moist and if I can keep them around past the first day they stay fresh. These are now the requests I get for family/friend functions.
