I followed the recipe, however, instead of milk, I used condensed mild and put 2 spoons of orange liqueur. It came up pretty good.

i was leary to try this recipe w/ 1 review. Made for my FIL's bday who loves tres leches and even more interesting w/ coconut. I thought almost 4 cups of liquid looked too much but it did come out well. Not sweet at all but went well w/ the chopped strawberry&kiwi on the side of serving of cake slice. DH says it's missing the sweet condensed milk. I didn't taste much of coconut w/in the cake but the toasted coconut topping worked very well. The whipped topping could use some sweetness as well.
