Hmmm, mine where dry, namely the crust and looked nothing like the photo. I threw them in the trash. They fell apart when I tried to cut them into squares. Sorry folks, but this midwestern girl thinks these are horrible! A crumbly crust, and very unappetizing!

I loved these bars, very tasty, chewy & easy to make! They came out looking exactly like the picture & the crust didn't get overly soggy. I will definitely make these again! Thank you Betty Crocker for this wonderful site.

These bars are a complete knock-out! The first time I made them I didn't get to eat any because the rest of my family scarfed them down so fast! For storage, the bars do tend to get a bit sticky when refrigerated so just make sure to line the container with plastic wrap or aluminum foil.

I made these cherry bars for a Christmas gathering. They were a hit. I did not use coconut, since most of my in-laws don't like it, and it didn't matter because they were still wonderful. I bake a lot, so these bars were simple to make. Next time I will add more cherries, they really are the best part. I cut the cherries in half and blotted them dry with a paper towel, so they didn't release much liquid when they baked. No one wants soggy cookie bars. I used green and red maraschino cherries which looked beautiful for the holidays.

I have been making these for years. They are my daughter and my favorite cookie. However, we limit them to one time a year, Christmas.

I loved these! The only thing I did not like was that the coconut was not that tast able, even though I added 1 cup of coconut and a tsp of coconut extract to the crust. I loved the marchino cherries though!

Loved these...Increased coconut to 1 C. and substituted cherry extract for vanilla. As a huge cherry lover, I will make these when I do NOT want to share them with anyone.
