Cocoa Crunch Donuts

Donuts are everyone’s favorite office food. These homemade donuts start with refrigerated biscuits, then add a sweet glaze and crunchy Cocoa Puffs cereal for a fun and chocolatey punch.

Glaze
1/2
cup powdered sugar
2
to 3 teaspoons milk
Donuts
Oil for deep frying

can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury® Grands!® Homestyle refrigerated buttermilk or original biscuits
Topping

cup Cocoa Puffs® cereal
  • 1 In small bowl, stir glaze ingredients until smooth, adding enough milk for desired glaze consistency. Cover; set aside.
  • 2 Heat oil (2 to 3 inches) in deep fryer or heavy saucepan to 375°F.
  • 3 Separate dough into 8 biscuits; cut hole in center of each. Fry biscuits and holes in hot oil 1 to 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  • 4 Dip top of each donut and holes into glaze. Top with cereal. Serve warm.

yes! 3 1/2 grams of transfats! Not too easy to find those in our recipes these days. Didn't think the doughnut could be made any less unhealthy, but by adding an extremely sugary cereal as extra toppings to an already over-the-top unhealthy treat, this recipe has done it.
