This was the most bland dish I've made in a long time. I even added extra salt, pepper, parsley, beef broth and didn't use all of the sour cream. I will definitly play with the flavors next time...if I make it again.

SO YUMMY! I'm surprised to see that this got even one negative review. I use regular sour cream and about half of the amount called for. After making it the first time I personally felt it was too much sour cream. I also double or triple the amount of mushrooms. The whole family loves this, even my husband who doesn't like mushrooms loves it (he picks some of them out but eats it for the most part). A+++

I tried this tonight for the first time. I didn't find it very good but I made a couple of changes per the suggestion of other reviewers. First of all, I halved the recipe but didn't half the worcesteshire sauce. I also added extra salt & pepper since others said it was bland. Unfortunately it ended up being to salty. I also reduced the onions and sour cream by a lot and that seemed to work out ok. I also used stew meat which was my biggest turn-off...it was so tough I picked my meat out. Overall it might have been ok with the sirloin and with less salt but I doubt I'll ever make it again. My husband said he thought it was ok if that means anything...it might have also been a personal preference thing for me.

You can also use low fat Plain yogurt in place of the low fat sour cream, Easy recipe You can also use beef stew meat and cook the meat in the broth in the oven at 300 for about 1-1/2 hours and than proceed with recipe.

This recipe has been a classic in our home. I use one can of cream of mushroom soup mixed with about 1/2 c. of light sour cream. One half onion is plenty.

The entire family enjoyed this dish. I used a 1/4 onion and a little more garlic and used stew meat. The flour / beef broth rue could have used more spice and will consider that when I make it next.

Way to many onions and I only used one. Even my husband who likes onions a lot said it was too much.
