Expert Tips

Susan S. Shares her Recipe "When I was very fatigued, I used any fruit I had on hand to make this quick smoothie. Dropping fresh blueberries into the glass on top of the smoothie adds extra color and flavor that is so good with the lemon and peach."

High in calcium and vitamin C

A Note FROM Dr. Ghosh Orange juice is a well-known source of vitamin C. When eaten with a food containing iron, the vitamin C in foods can improve iron absorption to help prevent anemia. Having a diet high in vitamin C also decreases the risk of infections and helps heal wounds.
