This recipe was wonderful. At first I wasn't so sure because I am a beginner cook. Once I got started, I realized that this wasn't going to be so bad. Thanks Betty Crocker. They smell wonderful and look delicious.

I took these to a friend who brought me dinner after a surgery. They were happily received by the family who is not a huge chocolate lover family. I was impressed that they made such a large batch of easily assembled and tasty cookies. One thing I would do different is to chill the log before cutting to avoid cookie spread. I didn't have a problem with sticking. I would recommend using powdered sugar when rolling for a more tender cookie than flour.

These are delicious cookies, they are just kind of hard to make. The dough is very sticky, I would recommend using a lot of flour, don't hesitate on the flour. Even though, some of the dough was messed up (no pinwheel), these cookies are delicious, and I never got around to making the icing, they were gone before I had a chance. Am going to try making again soon.
