Cinnamon-Raisin Granola Bars

cups old-fashioned oats

cup raisins

cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour

cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
1/2
cup packed brown sugar
1/2
cup wheat germ

teaspoons ground cinnamon

teaspoon salt

egg, slightly beaten

cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2
cup honey
1
teaspoon vanilla

  • 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom and sides of 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • 2 In large bowl, stir together oats, raisins, all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, wheat germ, cinnamon and salt. In small bowl, beat egg, applesauce, honey and vanilla with whisk until well combined.
  • 3 Pour applesauce mixture into oat mixture; stir until well blended. Pour mixture into baking dish.
  • 4 Bake 20 minutes for soft granola bars; bake 30 minutes for firmer granola bars. Cool in dish 5 minutes. For bars, cut into 5 rows by 4 rows. Cool completely in dish, about 30 minutes.

Expert Tips

Add in your favorite dried fruit, spices, nuts or extras.

Drizzle the tops with chocolate to make them a little indulgent!
