Biscuits aren’t just for breakfast anymore. The sweet cinnamon and raisin taste of these quick drop biscuits makes them a great snack with a cup of hot cocoa!

Made a batch of these biscuits yesterday. Really delicious, and heated up in the microwave later for about 30 seconds after being refrigerated, tasted an awful lot like cinnamon rolls. Really good winter morning treat. Will do again.

I made these tonight and the only variation was that I added the extra cinnamon. My Gosh! These are great! I'm hooked.

RE dlzh: All great suggestions/comments. The baked biscuits do freeze well by simply storing them in a plastic zip-loc bag. When you're ready to eat them, reheat them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds.

Yes, really good. I added the extra cinnamon as suggested in the Expert Tips section and I exchanged the white sugar for light brown sugar as suggested by a reviewer. Oh, and even though I love raisins I did not have a full 1/3 cup as called for in the recipe but I did have a packet of dried cranberries with chopped raisins in the fridge that was left over from a packet of salad so I added that to make a 1/3 cup of dried fruit and nuts. I would have loved it just as much with just raisins, though. Too bad I am the only person in this house who loves biscuits!? I served with a fresh fruit salad. Seriously, doesn't need butter at all. As a matter of fact, the taste of the butter stole some of the lovely taste away from my little biscuit. Looks like my breakfast requirements this week are all wrapped up. I wonder if these little jewels freeze well? No harm poppin a couple in the icer to see. Thanks.

Hi, me again.(See 8/14/2009) Yesterday I made these at the spur of the moment for breasfast. I did not have raisins but it did not matter. I also used buttermilk and not sweet milk. After the dough formed I made little ping pong ball sized balls and rolled them in a sugar/cinnimon mix before putting them on the cookie sheet. What a hit!!! The only problem was they did have a tendensy to stick to the cookie sheet but a spatule was all we needed to fix that problem.

I varied the recipe by adding a whole tablespoon of Cinnamon, using Splenda instead of sugar, and using light Almond milk instead of regular milk. They came out super.

These Biscuits are delicious, easy, and fast to make. I made them with blueberries instead of rasins and cinnamon, using 1/2 cup of blueberries in an Iron Skillet.

To put this easy delicious treat over the top, frost with a light white frosting. I use a tbl of soft butter, about two cups of powdered sugar and enough milk to make a semi thin frosting. It says to make 9 biscuits but I make them smaller and you get a whole lot more and little children like the small ones better.
