cup sugar
1/3
cup Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1/2
teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4
cup butter or margarine, softened

  • 1 Mix sugar, flour and cinnamon in small bowl. Cut in butter, using pastry blender or crisscrossing 2 knives, until mixture looks like fine crumbs.

I made this the way the recipe was written but needed to make some adjustments as it was way too 'wet'. I added 1/3C more flour and 1/2C sugar. (Taste testing along the way with the additions..) Then it was perfect, not too wet and not too dry. There was enough to top a 9-inch Apple Pie I've used this before but with brown sugar for a darker color in the topping.

I wen't by the recipe, but i did something wrong. It looked like brown puddy, so i put it on a plate smashed it thin and place it over the whole pie. And i might have ate to much of it, it tasted really GOOD.
